      Hello

Do people open any Court of Protection matters as:

The Person who lacks capacity and to whom the application relates and then the Applicant/Proposed Deputy (Solicitor acting)

So 2 / 3 client names and then a relevant description for the matter?

We have a new Solicitor who wants to do things differently.

      many thanks

      Hi Claire

We would open the file under the name of the Applicant/proposed deputy as they are our client and the matter description would be Court of protection re: (The person who lacks capacity)

      Hi Nicky

That is how we do now – Applicant/proposed deputy and description of Court of Protection / Deputyship

There are complaints that all client matters are blending into one.

it is always difficult when you have a new solicitor that is used to a different way of doing things and immediately wants to make changes. Maybe some “gentle persuasion” to the benefits of what you are doing currently is correct and compliant
But it would be interesting to hear what others think
