Geoff Smith is a legal finance and compliance specialist with a wealth of experience and a sustained record of success within the Legal and Education sectors. He started his accounting career in 1967 – a career that spans 7 decades and 4 versions of the accounts rules. He is often referred to by Darren Whelan as “the only one I ever feared”.

Over the past 55 years, he has has worked as a freelancer, for sole practitioners, small high street practices to large corporate firms of varying sizes and complexities. He has had many roles from Legal Cashier, working in senior management to tutoring and lecturing within colleges.

He has first-hand experience in dealing with external audits such as regulator investigations, VAT and PAYE inspections and has been at the forefront of honest and reliable business support before taking that ethos into private practice in 1999. He has continued supporting clients ever since and is proud to have clients who has retained his services.
